The world of dental ceramics can be difficult to navigate. This course aims to explain the proper selection criterial and usage of ceramic materials. Additionally, effective communication with the dental laboratory to ensure the desired result will be discussed.
At the completion of this course, participants should be able to understand:
- Material selection—rationale and scientific evidence
- Communication with the laboratory—what information is needed for predictability
Arthur Volker, DDS, MSED, FAGD
Dr. Volker graduated from the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. He is the chairman of the New Dentist Committee as well as the Secretary for the New York State Academy of General Dentistry. Additionally, he is a Clinical Attending at the Coler-Goldwater Specialty Hospital and Nursing Facility on Roosevelt Island where he also serves as Vice-Chairman of the hospital’s Graduate Medical Education Committee. Dr. Volker maintains a full scope private practice in New York with an emphasis on minimally invasive and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Volker has published articles and lectures extensively on such topics as cosmetic dentistry, minimally invasive dentistry, dental materials and dental implants.
