Course Overview

This course will be a didactic review of case design theory for removable partial dentures. The most common attachment connectors will be discussed, as well as indications and contraindications for various attachment systems. Technical tips, troubleshooting and common questions will be covered.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this course, attendees should be able to:

  • Explain the different options for treating partially edentulous patients
  • Understand the rationale in selecting the proper precision attachment based on specific patient parameters and limitations
  • Discuss high-level technical tricks and tips for each unique attachment system discussed

Presenter

Mr. Chris Bormes, President of Preat Corporation

Chris Bormes graduated with an Accounting Degree from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. He then attended the Dental Laboratory Technology Program at City College of San Francisco. Over the years, Chris has completed the Ticonium and the Bego Partial Denture Programs and received his ICOI Mastership in Dental Technology.
Mr. Bormes authored the PREAT Corporation technical manual, invented six attachments, and he is a candidate for CDT in Complete Dentures. Recognized as an attachment and Implantology expert, Chris has lectured nationally
and internationally.
